Whether you’re approaching retirement, running a business, or simply ready for a more disciplined approach to your financial future, David Evans is here to help you build a strategy engineered to last.
Social Security timing, healthcare/Medicare gap planning, and sustainable withdrawal strategy — a tested plan for the retirement you want.
Business continuation planning, key-person coverage, buy-sell agreements, and how your personal and business finances truly connect.
Building a financial foundation designed to hold up — not just for today, but for decades to come.
Financial planning is about more than spreadsheets and market performance. It’s about you — your story, your goals, and your vision for what comes next. David’s approach is equal parts disciplined and personal, built on real conversations and a plan designed to hold up over the long run.
Before I ever sat down with a client to talk about retirement, I spent 16 years as an electrical and construction engineer, taking on complex industrial projects where precision and long-term thinking weren’t optional, they were the job. Nearly a decade ago, I brought that same mindset into financial planning, and it still shapes how I work with clients today.
I like to say retirement planning is a lot like putting together a big puzzle. Every piece matters, and the goal is simple: make sure you don’t run out of money, and make sure you’re doing it as tax-efficiently as possible. With almost 10 years in financial services now, I bring clients the same systematic, problem-solving approach that guided my engineering work , building plans that are built to hold up, not just look good on paper.
Before financial planning and before engineering, I served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy from 1992 to 1997. After my service, I attended Auburn University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and later completed my MBA. I even spent a couple of years on the Auburn cheerleading squad while I was there.
Outside the office, I’m a hands-on family man. My wife Peggy and I are raising a blended family of six kids together – It’s a busy household, and Peggy and I share a real passion for health and being active in our community.
Retirement is one of the biggest financial transitions you’ll ever make, and David treats it that way. Drawing on his engineering background, he stress-tests your retirement plan the way he once stress-tested structures, making sure it holds up over 20, 30 years, not just the next few. He’ll walk through the real questions: Social Security timing, healthcare gaps before Medicare, and how much you can actually spend without running out. No rushing, no oversimplifying, just a clear, tested plan for the retirement you want
Your business is often your biggest asset, and your biggest risk. David’s background gives him a genuine feel for how businesses run and what keeps owners up at night. He goes beyond the basics to address the conversations many owners put off: business continuation planning, key-person coverage, buy-sell agreements, and how your personal and business finances truly connect. For David, your business, your family, and your exit strategy are never separate conversations, they’re all part of the same plan.
Whether you’re planning for retirement, growing a business, or building a financial foundation for your family, David brings the same approach: ask real questions, understand the full picture, and build a plan that’s engineered to last.
