Some experiences change everything. For Richard Giannotti, a former professional baseball player, his journey from the dugout to the boardroom was inspired by one thing: doing better. After facing the shortcomings of impersonal financial guidance firsthand, Richard made it his mission to become the kind of Advisor he wished he had: someone who listens, educates, and leads with trust and accountability.
As a Wealth Advisor at RFG Advisory, Richard helps clients navigate pivotal life moments with clarity, confidence, and a game plan tailored to their goals.
From locker rooms to boardrooms, Richard works with athletes and high-achieving professionals to design personalized portfolios aligned with your values, goals, and lifestyle.

Richard Giannotti is a Wealth Advisor at RFG Advisory, where he provides personalized financial guidance to a diverse range of clients, including professional athletes and individuals approaching or navigating retirement. His mission is to build long-term, trust-based relationships and deliver straightforward, educational financial advice tailored to each client’s unique goals.
A former professional baseball player with the Anaheim Angels and St. Louis Cardinals organizations, Richard’s transition to financial advising was deeply personal. During his playing career, he experienced firsthand the lack of communication, guidance, and personalized support from financial professionals. Motivated by these challenges, he made it his mission to become the kind of advisor he wished he’d had—someone who leads with education, responsiveness, and accountability.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Miami, where he played baseball and helped lead the Hurricanes to two College World Series appearances. Drafted by the Angels in 2004, he enjoyed a nine-year professional career across multiple teams and leagues. His leadership on the field—as a team captain and trusted teammate—now informs his approach as a financial advisor, where he helps clients avoid costly mistakes and feel confident in their financial futures.
At RFG Advisory, Richard serves two primary client segments: athletes with complex, fast-paced financial needs, and individuals in the 40–60 age range who are planning for retirement. His approach emphasizes trust, simplicity, and education, with a strong focus on building a referral-based practice through personal relationships and exceptional service.
Richard lives in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Florida, with his wife Kristen and their three sons—Beau, Banks, and Baker. When he’s not working with clients, he enjoys traveling with his family, attending sporting events, and developing his future brand concept, B3 Advisory, inspired by his three boys.
